Versailles - la visite

That film was released by Gérard Corbiau in 1999. It is possible to buy it on DVD or on VHS in different languages. The playtime of the film is 95 minutes + 40 minutes of bonus materials on DVD. That is the official DVD of Château de Versailles, it you will go there, you will find it in every gift-shop and in almost every language.

That is a really great documentary film about Versailles! I would highly recommend that video to everybody who is interested in Versailles and it's history. The film is just magnificent. It was made with great love and very professional, it's a love from first sight!
The film starts with Versailles built by Louis XIV and leads us through the centuries of Versailles' history showing us everything! You can't see more in Versailles than in that film as the part of Versailles shown to the visitors is smaller than what you can see in that wonderful film.
If you will be so happy to get a DVD-Version, you will be able to watch "Making of" of that film (what is also very interesting, 26 minutes) and some other interesting bonus materials.
Enjoy the stills!
